The advantages of gadgets involves its ability to promote independent learning in

a way that students can learn without the assistance of their parents and teachers since the

internet has turned out to be a treasure collection of information. It also provides an

opportunity to collaborate with others using Google apps or a similar platform, access the

wealth of information available online and to use concept mapping or mind mapping

software, among many other uses. But be wise users since not all the information

provided by different sources are reliable. Another thing is that gadgets can enhance

communication. In earlier times, people use to communicate by writing letters which use

days or even months to deliver; nevertheless, now E-mail has made things extremely

easy. It also speeds up work. There are many gadgets that make life easier. This

technology helps student to work efficiently. Through gadgets, teachers can now educate

students in exciting way. Videos, images, and other graphic lessons can deliver to the

students through the latest technology. This generates exciting learning atmosphere and

endorses interest in the education field.

If there are certain advantages, there are disadvantages too. The first one is

addiction. A student gets addicted to gaming, texting, or talking on phone or online.

There are times that they distract from their studies. They lack interest in their studies.

Now, everything is dependent on the students themselves, whether they develop poor

education habits and lazy attitude or learn useful stuff available. Moreover, it also makes

students forget their basic learning because they totally based on the internet instead of

books.

I really felt sad because I have realized that, technology brings us closer to those

people who are far from us, yet it also brings us farther to the people around us.

schools can do is not to use technology in the curriculum more, but to use it more

effectively.

As a student, I do believe that the use of gadgets is not a bad thing for us but we

must know how to limit its usage because too much of anything isn’t good for anyone.
 We are living in the 21st century – a gadget driven world; a generation where

almost everyone has their own gadgets and spends most of their time on it. Gadgets are

useful handheld tool that is made for portability. Mobile nowadays, is the essential part of

modern communications in every individuals life.

Technology is very significant for students but on the other hand, it has its own

disadvantages too. Gadgets make the world a better and easy place to live.
