5. Course objectives
To emphasize knowledge on tropical agriculture, to
familiarize students with the agricultural resources in tropical
regions, the production systems and logistics, economics and
marketing of agricultural products. To increase understanding of
the impact of climate change on food and energy security as
well as laws and regulations related to agriculture and trade in
Thailand.

6. Course Description
Bio-geography and biodiversity in the tropics. Agricultural
technology and production systems, agroindustry, logistics,
economics and marketing of agricultural products. Impacts of
climate change on food and energy security. Laws and
regulations related to biodiversity, agriculture and trade. Field
trip required.
