Assigning Catalog Roles to Users

1
ASSIGNING CATALOG ROLES TO USERS

With the Maintain Business Users app you can edit certain business user
data.

To enable business users working with the system and accessing the
required apps, you have to assign catalog roles (business roles) to the
business users. For simplicity reasons you assign complete catalog roles,
not single apps to business users.

A catalog role includes apps that are specific to a business user role,
belonging together in a meaningful way for business purposes.

Each assigned catalog role is displayed on the user's launchpad as a

group.

Would you like to know more about how to assign catalog roles to users
who want to access single apps within a catalog role?

If so, follow this interactrive demo.

There are two more apps available to Display Technical Users and
Maintain Communication Users.

The Display Technical Users app gives you an overview of all technical
users, not available as business users, in the system. For example, users
with internal app to app communication. And support users are seen in
this application once backend access has been granted to them.

You can create your own communication users with the Maintain
Communication Users app. These users are required for special
scenarios, such as employee integration and JAM integration. They are
not available as business users in the system.
