Universal Design for
Learning (UDL)
What is Universal Design Learning?
➢ Universal Design for Learning (UDL) is a way of
thinking about teaching and learning that helps
give all students an equal opportunity to succeed.
➢ The UDL approach provides flexibility in the
way students access learning material.
➢ Presents information in ways that adapt to
the learner, instead of asking the learner to
adapt to the information
➢ Gives children more than one way to interact
with material and reduces stigma by giving a
variety of options to all students.
