Important notes: If the UDS120 software application is to be installed on the same computer
with UROSTYM software, then the UDS software must be installed first; do not register the
modules again through the UROSTYM Utility program, but instead keep using the modules
registered through the UDS120 software.
The HASP key is required for this version of UROSTYM. Do not plug the key in before installation
of the software is completed. If it is already plugged into the computer, remove it and re-insert
it when asked to do so during installation.
1. If the Line Isolation Transformer (LIT) has a power switch, make sure it is in the OFF
position.
2. Connect one end of the power cord (LIT080) to the LIT and connect the other side to the
UROSTYM.
3. Plug the AC adaptor of the laptop computer into an outlet. If using power adaptor
POW320 with a laptop, plug it into the LIT. If using a desktop computer, plug the
computer and monitor power cords into the LIT. NOTE: LIT is recommended to meet
Hospital Grade power protection requirements in the United States.
4. Plug the printer power cord into the LIT.
5. Connect the medical grade power cable between the (LIT) and an electrical outlet. If the
LIT has a power switch, turn on the LIT with the power switch.

The USB-to-Serial Adapter driver must be installed before continuing. If it is not already
installed go to page 71 for installation instructions.
No more than one adapter should be configured and connected to the computer.
Configuration of a second adapter unit to work on the same computer will result in
communication failure and may require re-installing the operating system on the
computer. If for any reason a new adapter is ordered, the aforementioned failures will
result.
If using Urostym with other Laborie UDS equipment, then the wired connection to the
Urostym system must be configured before the Bluetooth connection to UDS or Urocap
systems is configured.
Never change the COM Port number of the ‘Unknown Device’ (i.e. the PER380 or
PER381) located under the Device Manager – Ports (COM & LPT).
