System.
MTU High Performance Fuel Filtration - XP52400600013
Recommended as a first step, it involves replacing the filter elements
within the primary and secondary filtration unit with new MTU high-
efficiency filtration elements. This kit includes two primary and two
secondary filter elements. Additional single spare elements can also
be ordered:

Upgrading to MTU high-efficiency filtration elements increases the
filtration rate from 4µm@90% to 99,97% (primary) and 4µm@98% to
99,99% (secondary). This significant increase may be accompanied
by a reduction in filter life time within the primary and/or pre-
filtration system. To compensate for these reductions, MTU
recommends additional upgrades for both pre- and primary filtration.

MTU Duplex Primary Filtration - XP52400600014
Recommended as an additional step, it provides additional primary
filtration capacity by adding an additional duplex unit to the
system.This kit includes filter head, fittings (standard and metric) and
MTU high-efficiency filter elements (including two spare elements).
Please note that fuel line is not part of the kit since vehicle layouts are
not standardized and must be taken into consideration.
MTU Duplex Pre Filtration - XP52400600016
Recommended as an additional step, it provides additional pre-
filtration capacity by adding a duplex unit to the system. This kit
includes filter head, fittings (inch and metric) and filter elements
(including one spare element). Please note that fuel line is not part of
the kit since vehicle layouts are not standardized and must be taken
into consideration.
Important Note for Series 4000-01 engines: This kit should
always be ordered if the MTU Fuel Filtration Upgrade Kit
(XP52400600013 or XP52400600014) is being applied. For
Series 4000-01 engines, the water separation is a function of
the primary filter elements. This functionality will be dispensed
with the exchange of the old primary filter elements..

package.
