LETTER OF MOTIVATION

Dear teachers:

The main reason for me to want to do an Erasmus+ mobility is to be able to study abroad
and expand my musical knowledge and my goals, so I can become not just a better
composer, but a better professional artist with wider experience and perspective.

Firstly, I feel as a young musician that this is the time when have to expand my own
borders. I have been these years working hard and progressively learning and
surpassing all the challenges came. I would still doing that in my home institution, but I
think it’s the momento to take a big step.

In that direction, an Erasmus mobility means new challenges and new goals. And going
to MUHO definitely would be for me to take me out of my comfort zone and respond to
a higher level of demands. I also believe this opportunity to go abroad and study in
another country with new people and teachers would show me many different
perspectives as regards composition that would be very enriching.

Secondly, I want to go to your institution because I’m interested in the possibilities and
media it would offer. MUHO holds a great variety of specialities and resources and the
possibility to work around fields I’m not so used to. Is for that reason that I think it’s a
great place to develop my craft, composing for a wider range of media, not just
contemporary classical but stage music, jazz music, electronic, … and with the possibility
of creating interdisciplinary projects. I also believe that would help me, along with this
precious experience to develop or start developing a unique and personal style.

Finally, growing as a person or a young adult is a very important thing this mobility
would bring me, too. Going abroad, speaking a different language on a daily basis, and
moreover in such exciting and stimulating city like Mannheim would be a challenging
and priceless experience which for itself would remain in my heart for sure, and the
amount of positive things it would give me personally and proffesionally is countless.

I have really good references of the MUHO; one of the best teachers I studied with did a
mobility there. It’s obvious for me this centre is a really good option for me to do a
bachelor mobility and I am sure it’s going to profoundly affect and influence me for the
best.

Best regards,
