H E L LO !
In this document I have a written instructions to accompany the video I made for this
weeks class. I used household items for all projects so hopefully you will have some/all of
the materials at hand!
There are three options of tasks to complete this week. Once you have experimented
with each task, I would like you to try and combine the projects!
Step 1 - Think about what you want to be the subject of your series. Why did you choose this? What is it about this object/ topic that excited you?
Step 2 - Think about the medium you are choosing to make this work in and why. Gather your materials and props.
Step 3 - Start making! Challenge yourself and question yourself through your art work. But most of all, enjoy!
collage and drawing mix
Materials needed : magazine/newspaper, paper, pen and glue.
Step 2 - Cut out a few images from a magazine or newspaper that excite you, if you find something
funny or beautiful.
Step 3 - Stick the images down to a piece of paper and then join the dots with drawings. You can do this
with the aim to fill in the blanks in a narrative for your image or create a wacky piece of abstract art!
paper kite
Materials needed : Light paper, straws/ light twigs, tape, string, empty toilet roll.
Step 2 - Cut a small slit vertically up one straw to allow it to slide into a second
straw. Thus creating one long straw.
Step 3 - Take a 3rd staw and attach it like a cross 1/3 from the top of the long
straw. Creating a crucifix.
Step 5 - Carefully cut your paper to a diamond shape. Cutting from the end of
each arm in a diagonal to meet another arm.
Step 6 - Take an empty toliet roll and attach a piece of string with tape. Wrap
this string around the toilet roll generously, and cut.
Step 7 - Take the loose end of this string and tie it to the center of your cross.
Step 8 - Take her out for a spin on a windy day! Its best when you are standing
on a slope :)
THANK YOU!
