Common-Sense Colour Mixing
Look for the colour that you have in mind for your painting, then use the 2 colours from each end of that line. Use a little
more of the colour from the side that is closest to your colour.
By adding W H I T E to the colours in the top row you will get T I N T S, shown by the middle row.
By adding B L A C K to the colours in the top row you will get SHADES, shown by the bottom row.
Process Colour Mixing (CMYK)

The Chromacryl® Common-Sense Colour Mixing System uses the warm and cool
version of each primary colour, red, yellow and blue. Learn to mix colours quickly and
easily - simply follow the colour wheel as a guide. Mix Cool Yellow and Cool Blue to
make a clean bright green. See how many colours you can mix by varying the amount
of each colour.
Process Colour Mixing or C M Y K is commonly used in the print industry. It is
based on the primary colours, Cyan (Process Blue), Magenta and Yellow with the
addition of black. Black is used as a convenient way to darken a colour. Try mixing
your own colours using Process Magenta, Process Yellow (Cool Yellow), Process
Blue (Cool Blue) and Black, all available from the Chromacryl® range.
