CRITERIA I. Skill demonstrated in conceptualizing and analyzing the case
The extent to which the team:
a. provides clear problem identification b. considers background (legal, educational, political, and contextual) c. uses background information d. responds to questions, and as one voice
II. Ability to defend a particular position or strategy
The extent to which the team:
a. demonstrates logic and organization of information in strategy b. demonstrates reasonableness of positions relevant to environmental, contextual, and situational considerations ;and c. presents strategies that are appropriate for the environmental, contextual, and situational considerations d. responds to questions, and as one voice
III. Use of pertinent literature and best practices
The extent to which the team:
a. integrates College Development Theory (not only individual student learning & development, but also environmental influences and campus climate ) b. utilizes current research and best practices on the topic; and c. appropriately connects to legal, educational, political, and/ or contextual case issues d. responds to questions, and as one voice
IV. Use of assessment framework and linking to outcomes (required of New Professionals)
The extent to which the team:
a. demonstrates logic and organization of assessment framework b. links literature/theory/and best practices to assessment framework c. identifies at least two measurable learning/program outcomes with appropriate measurements for assessing success d. responds to questions, and as one voice
V. Overall quality of the presentation
The extent to which the team:
a. communicates in a clear, concise, & articulate manner b. uses PowerPoint as a visual aid to enhance audience understanding and presentation c. does not deviate from submitted power point presentation d. reflects innovative and creative thinking
