Manually Remove FoxyProxy Service Provider

1. Uninstall the FoxyProxy Video Utility


2. Open the registry editor (requires administrative privileges on Vista and Windows 7) by clicking
Start > Run, then typing regedit and hitting the “Enter” key
3. Navigate to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Winsock2\Parameters
Parameters\Protocol_Ca
talog9
4. Once there, make a backup of the Protocol_Catalog9 key in case something goes wrong by right
clicking it and selecting “Export” from the context menu
5. Expand the Catalog_Entries
log_Entries key, and delete every sub key that contains a value titled
ProtocolName with a value containing “FoxyProxy Service Provider”
6. Once all of the keys have been deleted, rename the remaining keys in sequential order starting
from 000000000001 (000000000001
000000000001, 000000000002, 000000000003, etc…)

7. Once again, select the Protocol_Catalog9 key and modify the Num_Catalog_Entries value to
reflect the total number of remaining keys under Protocol_Catalog9

clicking on the value, then clicking Modify. Remember to select the Decimal radio button before
entering the number.
Steps 8-10 are necessary only if the Catalog_Entries64 key exists

8. Expand the Catalog_Entries64 key, and delete every sub key that contains a value titled
ProtocolName with a value containing “FoxyProxy Service Provider”
9. Once all of the keys have been deleted, rename the remaining keys in sequential order starting
from 000000000001 (000000000001
000000000001, 000000000002, 000000000003, etc…)

10. Once again, select the Protocol_Catalog9 key and modify the Num_Catalog_Entries64 value to
reflect the total number of remaining keys under Protocol_Catalog9

clicking on the value,
e, then clicking Modify. Remember to select the Decimal radio button before
entering the number.
11. Reboot the PC. The FoxyProxy Service Provider entries will not be loaded and the system should
once again have network connectivity.

If a problem still exists, the following steps may be used in effort to restore the network connectivity
but should only be used as a last resort.

1. Start a command prompt with administrative privileges by clicking Start > Run, then typing in
“cmd” and hitting the “Enter” key
2. Enter the following command: “netsh winsock reset catalog” and press the “Enter” key
3. Reboot the PC

Please note that this will reset the entire Winsock catalog, and may require that some anti-virus
programs be reinstalled.
