PROCESS
2. Programme Outcomes.
PO1: Evaluate hypotheses, theories, methods and evidence within their proper
contexts.
PO2: Critically interpret data, write reports and apply the basics of rules of evidence.
PO3: Select, interpret and critically evaluate information from a range of sources that
include books, scientific reports, journals, case studies and the internet.
PO4: Develop proficiency in the analysis of complex physical problems and the use
of mathematical or other appropriate techniques to solve them.
PO5: Demonstrate skills in the use of computers for control, data acquisition, and
data analysis in experimental investigations.
PO6: Recognize the need to engage in lifelong learning through continuing
education and research.
PO7: Solve complex problems by critical understanding, analysis and synthesis.
PO8: Demonstrate engagement with current research and developments in the
subject.

Course Objectives:
1. To acquire basic knowledge about Schrodinger equation.
2. To develop concept of bound states in an arbitrary potential.
3. To bring knowledge about quantum theory of hydrogen-like atoms.
Course Outcome(s): After completion of this course the student will be able to:
CO1: To develop a knowledge and understanding of the concept that quantum states live in a
vector space.
CO2: To solve quantum mechanics problems.
CO3: Formulation of Schrödinger equation-time dependent and time independent forms.
CO4: To derive energy Eigen value and eigen functions particle in a box and 1-D harmonic
