Texting and driving has a hugely negative impact on health care and the world. Texting and
driving distracts the driver and can lead to accidents. This will affect health care because the more
texting and driving leads to more accidents. These accidents lead to more patients in the hospital.
Texting and driving impact a person by reducing their brain activity by 37% while driving. Due to this,
people should be doing proactive things to prevent the temptation for texting and driving such as,
putting your phone on silent while in the car, putting phone out of site while driving, pull over to accept
texts and phone calls, etc. The benefit this will have for patients is simple, less hospitalizations. People
do not want to go to the hospital, so drivers should not text and drive. Texting and driving impacts
nursing because more hospitalized patients would cause more patients to take care of.

Stress is another negative impact on nursing and health care of any kind. Stress is everywhere
and can affect anyone. It is a thing that continues to grow with the world. We must learn to manage
stress and the healthy ways to do that. Stress is known as the silent killer because it sneaks up and can
cause life-threatening problems. Stress can cause many different diseases and cause diseases to become
more advanced. So, learning how to cope with stressful situations can assist in health care greatly.
Coping with stress is beneficial to the patient because the less stress the better for their health. They will
be able to recover quicker, not get as sick, and possibly not even get sick in the first place. This will
impact nursing because we will have to know how to teach patients how to manage stress and try to
keep them from coming in the hospital/clinic again. People who do not handle stress well will be the
people that will come into the hospitals more often.

Fast food can cause a lot of issues in someone’s life. Although, like most things it can be had in
moderation. It is very bad for a patient’s health because it is nutritionally bad for you. Fast food has salt,
sugar, and trans fats in them. These are all normally not too bad for someone, but fast food has high
levels of each of these ingredients. Despite of this, people like fast food because it is convenient, cheap,
and still tastes good. Having an abundance of fast food can cause obesity which has a highly negative
medical impact on one’s life such as: coronary artery diseases, type 2 diabetes, dyslipidemia,
hypertension, etc. Patients should know these facts because they can prevent their health issues in the
future. Knowing all these issues will maybe help them to stop eating fast food too often and try to go
and work out. This impacts health care providers and nursing because more fast food intake causes the
diseases listed before and more. This means we must provide services to help the person recover from
them and manage the symptoms that comes along with them. Overall people should just think about
what they are eating and go for the healthier option from time to time.
