Subject Checking the conductivity of the DP Ground Plate Base
Model DP-410
(Affected models: KM-1620/2020/1650/2050/2550)

In case that the grounding between DP-410 and machine main body is not steadily available, there is a possibility that MAIN
PCB ASS’Y(3HL01014) for DP-410 might be damaged or not work properly due to static electricity.

Therefore, to prevent the above phenomenon from happening, please check the following during setup or maintenance
service:

[ 1 ] Check the conductivity of “GROUND PLATE BASE” (3HL02200).

Check if there is conductivity between “BASE REINFORCEMENT” (3HL02190) and “LEFT HINGE” (3HL02020)
using the multitester as shown below.
If there is conductivity: OK
If there is no conductivity: NG

[ 2 ] Installation procedure for “GROUND PLATE BASE” (3HL02200)

<If the fixed attachment to limit the DP open/close angle is installed at rear side of DP Right Hinge, remove it first.>
1. Loosen the screw of “GROUND PLATE BASE” as shown below.
2. Shift the edge of bending section of “GROUND PLATE BASE” to the “BASE REINFORCEMENT” direction and
tighten the screw.
3. Check the conductivity between “BASE REINFORCEMENT” and “LEFT HINGE” (contact section with machine
main body) by the tester.

Shift this edge of

bending section
upwards and tighten.
