Sample Procedure

Random sampling was used in the study in which, from the total number

of populations of the SYP scholars, the researchers only selected 107 students,

a number good enough to represent the entire population of the SYP scholars.

The researchers obtained a complete list of the SYP scholars. The students

were then involved in an online survey using Google Forms conducted by the

researchers from March 30, 2020 until April 3, 2020. Im not sure unsa pay

Data Gathering Tools

In this research, the researchers gathered data through online survey.

The researchers created a two-part survey on Google Forms. The survey

consists questions necessary to obtain the personal data and measure the level

of political awareness of the participants. The first part of the survey helped

answering the question whether the participants are politically aware or not. To

support this, the second part of the survey consisted questions that were

deemed enough to be used as data, as well as answering the research

questions. The Likert scale was used in this section to draw conclusions easily

from the responses. Furthermore, it allows the respondents to be neutral.

Data Gathering Procedure

The researchers followed the proper procedure in amassing the data.

They requested permission from the Chief of the Curriculum and Instruction

Division of PSHS – CMC through a request (wtf idk huhu) letter noted by the
English 5 adviser. After the approval of the letter, the researchers determined

the number of SYP scholars that were needed to be surveyed. Upon this

decision, the researchers conducted an online survey through Google Forms

using the Likert scale.

The researchers formed a two-part Google Form for the survey. After

designing the survey, the Google Form link was distributed to the batch

presidents (charchar), which then was distributed to their batch group chats

(any formal word para ani?). All of the participants were ensured of their

anonymity for confidentiality. There were comments given by the participants

which were treated as academic opinions and will not be used against them.

This method for gathering the data was conducted to get a

straightforward grasp of the participant’s responses. It was an appropriate

method to gather data in response to the research questions of this study. The

data gathered from the survey was properly analyzed and interpreted based on

the related literature and studies.
