Analytical chemist/ Production operations preferably in oil / chemicals/ Petrochemical industry.

 KNOWLEDGE PURVIEW

• Possess sound knowledge of handling instruments for oil and gas test like:
• ICPMS,GC-TCD,GCQQMS,AAS,IC etc. ( software, calibration and maintenance)
• Water quality test as per ISO standard: (DO,BOD,PH, Turbidity, total solid, Temperature
flow rate ,nitrate, phosphorous, chloride test, pesticide, heavy metals etc. )
• Trace analysis of air pollutants such as Dioxin, Furans, and PCBs.
• Having sound knowledge in handling sophisticated analytical instruments.

❖ Current job Responsibilities:

• Crude oil analysis, Natural gas ,polymer and R & D samples testing and reporting to
senior scientist.
• Gas chromatography with different detector like FID, TCD, MS working with capillary
and packed column.
• Analysis of natural gas and biogas collected from different site ( GC Agilent )
• Polymeric material synthesis for the waste water treatments.
• Collection of sample from different location for the quantification of dioxin, furan and
PCBs from various matrixes like food, sediment and air sample.-sample preparation,
cleanup system, calibration and quantification using QQQMS.( As per USEPA methods)
• Water sample quality checking collected from various industrial Area. ( As per ISO )
• To maintain housekeeping of laboratory.
• Trouble shooting, maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment’s.
• Maintaining lab chemical inventory.
• Preparing shift schedule preparing SOP.
• Preparing, updating and approving reports through senior scientist.

❖ CSIR-NIIST (R & D RESEARCH INSTITUTION) Trivendrum (April 2016-till now)

The National Institute for Interdisciplinary Science and Technology (NIIST,
formerly Regional Research Laboratory, Trivandrum) is a constituent laboratory of CSIR,
Govt of India, engaged in research and development activities in the field of agro
processing and technology, chemical sciences and technology, material sciences and
technology and process engineering and environmental technology.

• Preparation of lab reagent for test purpose. Laboratory maintenance as required for
ongoing basis.
