New York State Stands With Our Neighbors

New York State will

never forget
your generosity.
And we will repay your
kindness in any way needed.
Our neighbors in
Massachusetts are seeing an
increase in cases.

They may need 400

ventilators. If they do, we
have identified the
ventilators and will transport
them in 24 hours.

MARGIN OF ERROR
in reopening
How Fast Will the Virus Reproduce?

In any plan to UN-PAUSE NY,

we must test.
How Fast Will the Virus Reproduce?

Part of how to reopen NYS is

determining how many
people have been infected
with the virus already.
How Fast Will the Virus Reproduce?

How do you determine how

many people have been
infected?
Antibody testing.
How Fast Will the Virus Reproduce?

New York State will undertake the

most aggressive statewide
antibody testing survey in the
nation over next week.
Smarter Testing

For diagnostic testing, we will

continue to work with
the White House to
assist with the supply chain
and coordinate private labs.
Federal Aid to States

• The federal CARES Act contained zero funding

to offset drastic state revenue shortfalls.
• The National Governors Association is
renewing our bipartisan call for
$500 billion in aid to states.

STAY HOME. STOP THE SPREAD. SAVE LIVES.

Do No Harm

We must also remember our

mutuality and discipline.
Do No Harm
• Many school districts and local officials are
questioning when and how we can reopen
• Local officials question opening beaches, parks,
businesses, etc.
• I understand they are under pressure
and I understand the political pressure
• But we must stay united and smart
• No forced decisions

Every Decision Affects Everyone Else

I get the political pressure.

But we must be smart and coordinated

and give the people their best
government.
Every Decision Affects Everyone Else

so blame me.
Build Back Better
• In the meantime, we will reopen and rebuild not what
was, but better & smarter.

• Better healthcare
• Better transportation/telecommuting
• Smarter telemedicine
• Smarter tech in education
• More social equity
• More cohesive in our spirit of community
