The document discusses the resource-based approach to learning, where an individual's own resources are seen as essential for performance. There are tangible resources like equipment and intangible resources like knowledge or processes, which require continuous learning to develop. Resources are heterogeneous and differ between individuals, and should be used strategically to acquire new skills rather than copying others' strategies. While originally for companies, the resource-based approach can also be applied to individual learning by creating a strategy that utilizes available tangible and intangible resources. The role of teachers is to provide students with enough information and concepts to continue learning independently through self-examination of their own skills and abilities.

Resource based approaches: In this model, a company's own resources are
seen as essential for higher performance, because it is better to use existing resources in new ways rather than trying to acquire skills that cannot be used together. There are tangible, intangible, heterogeneous and immobile resources: Tangible: They are material things like equipment that facilitate and speed up certain processes. Intangibles: They are immaterial things like processes or knowledge or intellect, which means that a continuous learning process is needed to develop it. Heterogeneous: The resources, abilities and capacities that people have are not equal to each other, they all have a different quantity and combinations. Stationary: Resources are an advantage if they are used strategically to acquire new skills or knowledge, it is not recommended to copy the strategies of others because it may not work in the same way. Although the resource-based approach was originally for companies, it can also be applied to individuals individually in educational settings and some others. I do not completely agree with the resource-based approach, however I agree that tangible and intangible resources should be used in such a way that a strategy can be created that uses each of the resources that are available to facilitate the learning of whatever, although this part is quite complex at first since it is difficult to articulate each of the resources to finally have an effective means to learn and succeed. Normally it is easier to just copy someone else's strategy, but this is not as productive as it seems because the resources and skills that we each have are usually different and even if they were the same, it would not be possible to achieve success since it must be taken into account. The own style counts, maybe if you can copy and duplicate a strategy to the letter but the style is something that cannot be transferred and applied for everyone, in fact I would add the style as a type of intangible resource because it takes a long time to develop and it doesn't work the same for everyone. In addition, Self-access learning can work together with the resource-based approach easily because with self-learning they have the option to control and take charge of the way they study and the time they spend, therefore if I know how I want to study I can create an appropriate strategy with the resources I have, whether material or intangible. The role of the teacher has a difficulty in this topic because he is the one who must become the person who provides his students with the precise information so that they themselves can independently manufacture their own learning tactics, I mean that there is a difficulty in the teacher because in a few words he is the one who must give his students enough concepts so that they can continue on their own, and the role of the student consists above all of a self-examination in order to detect all their skills and abilities, initially it is going to be complicated for the student because this exercise is something that takes time and more than anything requires the will to want to do things (individualization). However, the application of the resource-based approach can facilitate the speed with which people learn because the amount of resources is enough to learn, only with a computer connected to the Internet you can access hundreds of resources intended for learning skills and knowledge, from videos, texts, audios and others.
