SEEING THE SIGHTS IN ITALY
The day before yesterday my family and I landed in Italy. We have never been here before, so
we were really excited! Our plan is to travel all over this country visiting the most famous
monuments and know more about Italy.
The first day we went to Pompeii, where a guide explained to us what happened in this
ancient Roman city, it was amazing! Then in the afternoon we went to Rome to see the
Colosseum and the Roman Forum, but unluckily it was closed, so we could only watch it
from the outside. However, we walked around there and we went to the Trevi Fountain.
There were lots of tourists taking photos! Later, we went to a hotel in the Vatican City.
Yesterday we went to Florence and we did a tour by bike around the city. When we finished,
we were a bit tired, so we had lunch in a restaurant. I ate pasta and a delicious tiramisu for
dessert! In the afternoon, we visited Pisa and we saw the Tower of Pisa. This time we stayed
in a hotel of Lucca, a city near of Pisa.
Today, we got up very early to go to Venice. There we have walked through magic alleys.
When we were going to the ​Basilica Santa Maria della Salute, some people were recording a
series, so we stayed there and watched. After this, we went to San Marco Square and we had
lunch there. I ate a pizza and an ice cream for dessert. Now, I’m in the restaurant writing this,
my family and I are going to Rialto bridge soon. Later, we will have a gondola ride and we
will pass through the canals. Then, if we have time, we will go with vaporetto in Murano, I
hope so! We haven’t been to the Ducal Palace yet, but we have still got another day to stay in
Venice, so I’m sure we will have time!
