The agricultural sector is fundamental to current and future human activity and economic systems. Sustainable agricultural development seeks to create long-term strategies that facilitate human life from environmental and economic perspectives. This emphasizes green development and its importance to economies and capitalism through new international trade agreements. While economic and environmental factors both impact agricultural growth, a sustainable development prioritizes environmental benefits over short-term economic gains by ensuring access to raw materials. Colombia's agricultural exports have grown in recent years through programs expanding production areas and markets. However, increased food production has damaged the environment through intensive chemical use. Alternatives like agroecology aim to shift away from prioritizing capital over life.

The agricultural sector becomes fundamental in the course of current human activity and the projective towards the future, where man through natural resources is able to create, train and maintain their current economic systems. Sustainable agricultural development seeks, from the environmental and economic point of view, to create strategies where the life of the human being is facilitated and maintained in the long term. From here, trade and new treaties between countries are a great futuristic advantage that keeps green development emphasized in greater importance on the economy and its capitalist tendencies. It is indisputable to think that the main tool of the sustainable development agro is directed in the economy and the environment since together they have a vital effect in the growth of the agricultural sector. However, when it comes to highlighting the determining factor of this sustainable development, it is essential to highlight the essence of environmental development in this problem, since the entire existing sector is based on this same medium. In effect, the environmental benefit focused on its general development is much more important than the thought of economic formation in terms of benefits, futuristic thoughts and basic acquisitions as raw materials. Already entering the agricultural sector of Colombia according to Juan Guillermo Zuluaga Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, highlights the following results of agriculture in 2017. "It is important that the products of the agricultural sector continue to grow year after year and looking for new markets, as has happened in the last years. This result of exports shows that there is an appetite for Colombian products abroad " Seeing the passage of time in agriculture in Colombia also worth mentioning the statement of the head of agricultural portfolio: "In the previous decade we grew by 25,000 hectares per year, but in the last three years we grew by 1.15 million hectares. potential to produce, that was the Colombia Siembra so successful program Now, the second stage of Colombia Siembra is Colombia Vende, Transforma y Comercializa, which is designing all this type of activities, such as El Agro Exporta, to continue selling "we observed that the A country with a vision of the future has the capacity to continue growing and strengthening, becoming a developed economy. Speaking and also entering into the agricultural sector of world economies, the United States is one of the most powerful and strong worldwide, because this country has great variety of the sector, in the future I would think that this country would still be power because thanks to its Developed economy will always have benefits of its exports, its quality of life, health level and education, will always be appetite for less developed countries difficulties with poverty and low life expectancy. However, seeing it on the other side of the scale, the US needs low-income countries since these are the ones that obtain their agricultural sector those that buy and import their products. Colombia being an underdeveloped economy, could sign the free trade agreement with the United States, this makes reference to the fact that not every economic power can subsist only (as products), not only the US but also countries like Luxembourg, Norway among others, it also needs of less developed economies with products that do not have. In 2011, former agricultural minister Juan Camilo Restrepo Salazar said: "the country is not prepared for the Free Trade Agreement with the United States, we still need to specify that although some sectors will benefit others not." Today thanks to the FTA Colombia In Colombia it is important to highlight that the increase in food production left as a consequence a great environmental damage due to the intensive use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides, as well as the coordinator of the Agroecological movement stressed that it is about "changing the paradigm and not just to reorder the inputs to continue being the same system that reproduces capital and not life.If we could stop supporting and encouraging agribusiness, we would have resources to multiply agroecology ".
