Regular Faculty means:

 Full time on roll with prescribed pay scale. An employee on contract for a
period of not less than two years AND drawing consolidated salary not less
than applicable gross salary shall only be counted as a regular employee.
 Prescribed pay scales means pay scales notified by the Regulatory

between 15:1 to 20:1, and zero for average SFR higher than 20:1

5.2. Faculty Cadre Proportion (20)

The reference Faculty cadre proportion is 1(F1):2(F2):6(F3)

F1: Number of Professors required = 1/9 x Number of Faculty required to comply with 15:1
Student-Faculty ratio based on no. of students (N) as per 5.1
F2: Number of Associate Professors required = 2/9 x Number of Faculty required to comply
with 15:1 Student-Faculty ratio based on no. of students (N) as per 5.1
F3: Number of Assistant Professors required = 6/9 x Number of Faculty required to comply

Faculty Performance Appraisal letter is collected from each faculty in which they
need to show their innovations and research for their self-renewal to cope up with
changes in technology and develop expertise for effective implementation of curricula.
The format of Faculty Performance Appraisal letter is provided in Annexure-IV.
Key points for faculty appraisal are:
1. General Information
2. Teaching, Learning and Evaluation Related Activities
3. Extension, Co-Curricular& Field Based Activities
4. Contribution to Corporate Life and Management of the Institution
5. Professional Development Related Activities
6. Research Publications and Academic Contributions
