Chapter 1

The objective of this document is to aid the user in explaining the

features associated with the "Token Checkout Utility".
Once SIM4ME Token Retrofit Utility is installed in your machine
the "Token Checkout" icon is in SIMSCI product installation. For
example, for PRO/II 6.0, the "Token Checkout" icon is located
under \\SIMSCI\Proii60\Bin.
The primary use of this function is to alter the following settings as
required by the user:

➤ Borrow token licenses from the token license server

➤ Early return borrowed token license

Starting Token Checkout

To start Token Checkout:
➤ Double click on "Token Checkout" icon is in SIMSCI product
installation

Section for Product List

The content of the list is determined by the products managed by
the FLEXlm server. The products that are available for borrowing
are included in this list.

The product list is in tabular format that contains Use, Product

Name and Token columns. The Use column is for user to select or
unselect product for borrowing and early return. The Product Name
column is the product names. The Token column displays the
required number of token for each product.

1-2 Using Token Checkout

Use Column

➤ By default, there is no product is selected in this column. If user

already borrowed license in previous session then the borrowed
products will be displayed with a check mark.
➤ User can select multiple products from the list. The selected
items will be borrowed when user click on the OK button.
➤ There is a main and sub product dependencies managed in this
column. The product name that contains a leading "->" sign is
a sub-product. A sub-product cannot be borrowed by itself
because it requires main product to work properly. For exam-
ple, PRO/II Batch is a sub-product of PRO/II and user cannot
use PRO/II Batch feature without a PRO/II license.
➤ If a sub-product is selected then its main product is selected
automatically. On the other hand, a main feature cannot be
unselected unless all its sub-products are unselected.
Select/Reset All Check Box

You can use this check box to select or unselect all products from
the list.

Show Selected Only Check Box

You can use this check box to display only the selected products.

Returning Checkout Token

The default borrow expiration date is 7 days from the current date.
The selected return date cannot be later than the maximum borrow
hours allowed by server.
