To allow 2020 recovery rebates to be made on the basis
of an individual’s taxpayer identification number.

1 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representa-

2 tives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,
3 SECTION 1. 2020 RECOVERY REBATES PERMITTED TO BE

4 MADE ON BASIS OF INDIVIDUAL’S TAXPAYER

5 IDENTIFICATION NUMBER.

6 (a) IN GENERAL.—Section 6428(g)(2)(A) of the In-

7 ternal Revenue Code of 1986, as added by Public Law
8 116-136, is amended by inserting ‘‘or a TIN’’ before the
9 period at the end.

1 (b) EFFECTIVE DATE.—The amendment made by
2 this section shall take effect as if included in section
3 2201(a) of division A of Public Law 116-136.
