Project Guidelines

Topic for Project

1. Identify suitable project relevant to the branch of study and form project team ( not exceeding four students strictly)
2. The students can do the project individually also.
3. Students must identify a Project Supervisor. Refer the list of staff and their areas of interest for the same
4. The project title should be socially, industry relevant or research project.
a. Socially relevant topic must be a topic that has immediate impact to improve society. There should have been a
study(newspaper article, whitepapers) highlighting the necessity of the topic
b. Industry relevant topic must clearly indicate the vertical that shall benefit from the Project. There should be
technical articles/whitepapers citing the necessity for the work.
c. Research Oriented topic shall be a topic which shall eventually result in publication in a Conference.
d. Innovative ideas that might lead to a new product
5. The technical content for the topic may be derived from a recent technical article (2017-2019) published in Springer/Science
Direct journals or any other reputed international journals or conferences. No peer reviewed journal should be considered.
6. Students should approach respective Project Supervisor for any support and help and clarifications.
7. Project presentation will be done by a schedule. If called up on person doesn’t show up he/she will be considered as absent.
8. Professional attire and proper discipline should be maintained.
9. Supervisor must be present on the day of presentation.
10. Abstract, Report and PPT must be in uniform common format distributed.
11. Abstract / PPT presentation should be done only after mock presentation and approval from supervisor.
12. Topics will be approved on FIRST COME FIRST SERVE BASIS. Repetition of same topic cannot be allowed.
13. One supervisor can supervise one project group and 4 seminar presentations only. On and above will be based on the
approval from Project coordinators.
14. All the project group participants should present equally and in any order called upon. Evaluation will be done individually.
15. Project WORKBOOK for a group must be evaluated weekly by supervisor.
16. IMPORTANT: Seminar topic can be the same as project topic.
17. IMPORTANT: No topic submission shall be considered for approval if the supervisor doesn’t sign on the Approval
form.
