Powerful delivery
250 Series Engine family of stationary gensets
For more than 40 years, GE Transportation has designed and built high-performance diesel engines and today is one of the
world’s largest manufacturers of medium-speed diesel engines. When used for continuous and standby power, these advanced
engines are not only dependable, long-lasting and efficient, they also perform in the world’s most challenging environments.

V250 Series Diesel Engine

This powerful engine is the most technologically advanced, fuel-efficient and

environmentally compatible diesel engine ever built by GE Transportation.

Key features
• Lighter-weight, compact footprint accommodates relatively large
bore engine design
• Offers continuous power from 1,395 to 2,790 kw and is available in
12- and 16-cylinder models
• Saves fuel and meets EPA Tier 2 emissions standards

L250 Series Diesel Engine

The L250 Diesel Engine’s narrow footprint allows ease of maintenance and
re-power and its advanced technology delivers fuel efficiency and emissions
compliance.

Key features
• Improves fuel consumption for an average 9% fuel savings*
• Meets U.S. EPA Tier 2 emissions requirements and is upgradeable
to Tier 3 requirements
• Offers continuous power from 1,310 to 4,240 kw
