Santa Clara Valley Orchid Society Non-Discrimination Policy

The Santa Clara Valley Orchid Society does not and shall not discriminate on the basis of race,
color, gender, age, religion, national origin, disability, marital status, sexual orientation, gender
identity or gender expression in any of its activities or operations. We are committed to providing
an inclusive and welcoming environment for members and others in all our activities.

Santa Clara Valley Orchid Society Privacy Policy

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act or CCPA, California residents have certain rights
regarding their data, including the right to know what specific pieces of personal information
SCVOS collects, how it’s used, and the right to delete your information.
SCVOS collects basic contact information from its members when they join SCVOS and then
annually when they renew their membership. This information includes, name, phone number,
email address, and postal address for the primary purpose of communicating effectively with its
members. This information may be used to update members about meetings, events, and other
SCVOS related business.
From time to time photographs may be taken at SCVOS meetings or events that may include
members or other participants, and/or their orchids. These are intended for posting in the SCVOS
newsletter, website, or other promotional use only. SCVOS may also collect survey information
to help with programming.
SCVOS takes reasonable measures to protect against unauthorized access, use, alteration, or
destruction of members’ personal information. SCVOS does not, and shall not, rent or sell
member information to any 3rd party. SCVOS cannot be responsible for any cookies or tracking
information on internet or social media hosting services it uses. SCVOS may provide member
information in response to a court order or other governmental request, or when SCVOS believes
in good faith that disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect the property or rights of SCVOS
or the public at large.
