a. What does the exodus teach us about the character of God and His redemptive
program?
The exodus show us God's sovereignty. He alone possesses all authorithy and power
in the world he has created. The exodus show us God's faithfulness and Mercy. Both
actually go together; God promised goodness and mercy, and he would be faithfull to
his word.
g. How was the Mosaic Law code different from other ancient Near Eastern law codes?
The biggest difference was in the importance the mosaic law gives to life. It shows us
as the beholders of the image of God. For that reason the biggest commanments are
love for God above everything, and love for the neighbor.
h. How does the Sinai Covenant relate to second millennium suzerainty treaties and what
is the theological significance of this?
Salvation and forgiveness comes from God only. Jesus comes to us in an
unconditional way. God ask us for our loyalty. God is the one that guides the course
of history. God's word is the giver of knowledge on faith and ethics for the Christian.
Sanctity permeates all life. Salvation is for anyone who turns to the Lord.
