opportunity, to request or offer permission, and to
show possibility or impossibility.

1. Used to say that it is possible for somebody/something to do something:
o Maybe I can run fast.
2. Used to say that somebody knows how to do something
o She can speak Spanish.
3. Used to show that somebody is allowed to do something
o You can take the car, if you want.
o We can't wear jeans at work.
4. Used to ask permission to do something
o Can I read your newspaper?
o Can I take you home?
5. Used to ask somebody to help you
o Can you help me with this box?
o Can you feed the cat, please?

Affirmative sentences: Pronoun / name + can + action verb + Complement
Ej. He can work today.
She can wash the dishes.
You can play videos.

Negative sentences: Pronoun / name + can’t + action verb + Complement

Ej. He can’t work today.
She can’t wash the dishes.
You can’t play videos.

Interrogative sentences: Can + Pronoun / name + action verb + Complement?

Ej. Can he work today? Yes, he can. / No, he can’t.
Can she wash the dishes? Yes, she can. / No, he can’t.
