Management Theory II
There are many different management strategies that I have learned in management

theory II. For example, the P-O-L-C functions of management, which by their initials means

Planning, Organize, Leadership and Controlling. This managerial strategy is mostly used by

entrepreneurs and startups. It helps them what steps to take in order to be effective. First, it

comes the Planning, during this stage mangers start to build a objectives and goals that they want

to meet. They also start to construct a strategy plan to well execute the objectives. Next stage

would be Organize, in this phase, after planning, managers start to organize employees by

position help them know what their objective will be. After having every employee in their

position and organized, the next step will be taken by a leader. The organization will need

someone efficiency and effective that can motivate employees and help them understand the

vision of the company and why it important to reach the organization’s goals. The Final stage is

controlling, the leader must have everything under control, and to help have everything running

well, it will be necessary to keep an eye on the performance of each employee.

Another management function that I learned during management theory II, was the

Balanced Scorecard. This function help organization to convert mission and vision statement into

specific goals and objectives and monitor organization’s performance in terms of achieving

goals. The Balanced Scorecard also helps monitor employee’s performance. Organizations the

use this management strategy tend to be more effective when accomplishing the company’s

goals.

Management Theory II helped me learned about the importance of leadership, entrepreneurship

and strategy. For organization to be successful, they must have and effective leader that is ready

to motivate employee to achieve the company’s goal. Entrepreneurship is where the businesses

come to life. They take advantages of their ideas to put them outside the world to create their

own little business, knowing the challenges it will bring. If they do not have a strategy plan the

chances of not being successful will increase. Strategy helps organization have plan on how

objectives and goals will be executed.

Management Theory II has taught me many different functions of management that can

be used to be successful in an organization and how, where and when implement them.
