To re-create a man in the image of the ideal – isn’t that the glorified hope for the one, for the

redeeming human who will bring strength and redemption to this reality? This idea has been put to

the highest consideration among many, yet never appreciated in a way that is required of the

question of such importance. After all, some of the past thinkers may have heard Krümel about this

paramount question, all of them in a confounding belief of having any importance to the problem.

Some of the form I have to offer as well, having no choice but only to offer a promise of deeper

insight, boldly embedded in the process I thought of.

One day, by the combination of most unusual circumstances, I found myself in the remarkable

group of college students who were watching a football game. The behaviors they presented, their

negligence and the wild, inhumane enthusiasm has shook me to the core. After a period of time,

these events impressed so hard on my memory that I can’t help but reflect on them in a way I

consider most relevant. Upon seeing the players, the first impression proved to be noxious to my

analysis. The perfect bodies, so carefully protected by the layers of protective materials, have given

me a confounding sense of discovery of the man of hope, the man to unite the battling reality. Yet

we see today that wishes to become greater, we sense that things are always going into something

more mediocre, more apathetic. The image of the perfect one is nothing but an image, a mocking

cruelty towards those ready to believe it. The player is made to be the finished form of a man,

(τέλειος, complete) superior to those not able to reach the rectification of one self… Precisely here

lies the plan’s doom – with the concept of creating the man that will be better that the rest of the

society. Isn’t that the biggest paradox of creating the man? There is no substratum for the existence

of such man, there is no being to compare to. There is a dream of an overthrow, of bettering with

respect to the others – the moral of the weak. By creating the stronger, the better, they thereby gain

for themselves the right to call themselves better, faster, accountable for being better… Why else

but out of revengeful desires would they attempt such a doing? They are nothing like the awaited
one – they have the instinct of self-preservation, of self-affirmation, of self-worth and they

themselves are accountable; what a hopeless society it is, never abandoning their sublime self-

deception, yet convinced of rising above it. This kind of deception needs validation from the

society, without which would just realize its lack of worth and fall into dismay. But fear not! To use

my language, the herd instinct is present, it occupies man’s thinking to the extent that it is thinking

itself. The act of self-validation return to his maker (κυκλόθεν, encircles), with a clumsy

characteristic of human thinking, which relentlessly refuses to abandon its direction. What is the

end of it? Won’t there have to be a much more terrible force to put the society out of this cruel

circle? Whoever stands at this point, must be stronger, must think further. At the very least, the time

is yet to come.
