MAIN CONTROL VALVE
Operation
When oil from the hydraulic pumpP1enters P1in the maincontrol valve, oil flows past the Straight
Travel Spoolandinto the mainpassage.Oil then flows into the bypasscircuit that passesacross
the Travel Spool, BoomSpool, and BucketSpoolsections. Thenoil flows past the bypasscut spool
throughthe negativecontrol orifice andreturns to HydraulicTank.
Oil upstreamof the negativecontrol orifice is throttled by the orifice, andthe pressurein the negative
control signal circuit rises. Theoil fromnegativecontrol signal oil port Pil flows throughport C1in
the Independent Travel Block throughport A1in the direction control valve spool andis directed to
the pumpregulator to minimizedelivery for hydraulic pumpPI.
