Week Three - Research

RESEARCH

What did you learn from your I have learnt more about how to portray the thoughts/feelings
research? and actions of my main character more accurately as now I
have a deeper understanding of the effect of the subconscious
mind due to my content research.

How has the research into existing
artists and professionals helped you
improve your ideas?
They have helped me improve my idea by showing me good
examples of pacing for a short film. I was worried that I had
too much happening and that my short film wouldn’t be that
short, but I am confident I can fit it in and have the scenes
progress naturally without it seeming rushed after watching
their work.

How has the research into your
target audience helped you improve
your ideas?
The research let me know who my target audience is by asking
survey questions referring to their age, gender and interests
relevant to short films. I found out what they like to watch, for
example, comedy, so I will try to incorporate some light-
hearted moments in my production.
