FMC Measurement Solution’s S-Mass Series Corio-


lis Mass Flow and Density Meters use the Coriolis
effect to directly measure the mass flow of virtually any
liquid. Mass measurement is independent of the fluid
parameters and the ambient conditions in which the
measurement is made. Therefore, the measurement is
essentially unaffected by changes in temperature, pres-
sure, density, viscosity, and flow profile. The meter is
also a highly-accurate vibrating tube densitometer for
measuring process fluid density.
The microprocessor-based electronics measures the
natural frequency of vibration of the sensor flow tubes.
This information is used along with the calibration con-
stants to determine the on-line fluid density.
The SMT050 pulse transmitter is a full-featured product
including multiple frequency/pulse outputs for the vari-
