Mrs. Evans’ backyard has 6 bushes for every 1 tree. If her yard could hold three times as many bushes and trees, what would the ratio of bushes to trees be in Mrs. Evans’ yard? Try using a double number line to solve.
On one day of spring break Ms. Rumrey watched a ratio of 1 movie for every 3 tv shows. If she watched 4 movies, how many tv shows did she watch? 9 tv shows? 10 tv shows? 12 tv shows? Set up a proportion to check each possible answer.
