For at least 3 out of the 5 categories below, provide a description (at least 3-5 sentences) including the month, the repertoire, and the connections
you will provide to the curriculum.
Science:

Social studies:

Language Arts (Reading, Writing, Speaking, Research):

In August the students will be exploring the voice. They will be discovering the different types of voice types. They will be listening to the teacher
and repeating what they are saying and even some group work similar to that. It would be for the SL.K.1 or SL.K.2 standard. They will be
discovering what their voices can do. With the “Who stole the cookie?” song, it would connect that they are singing and calling and discovering
the range.

Health/P.E.:
In October and some of April, students will be exploring and learning different types of movements. In October, we will be discussing “self and
shared space” which could connect to the P.E. Standard 1 which focuses on motor skills but also focuses on moving “safely in personal and
general space.” These could also connect to Standard 5 of “personal behavior.” With the “Amazing Body” songs, we will be learning and moving
to those songs and they include learning about body parts and what they are used for (ex: listening with your ears).

Math:
In September, we will be focusing on steady beat which can connect to math in that they will be counting the beats. They will be counting from 1-
100 so they know their numbers and can associate it to a song (hopefully making it easier to remember). In December/January, we are focusing on
long/short rhythms so they will be focusing on hearing the differences which can connect to the math standard that deals with understanding if it is
equal or not equal. Listening to if it is short or long, noticing if they are the same or different.
