5. Align the emblem backing plate over the back of the
emblem, making sure the studs pass through the holes
in the backing plate. Install the supplied #10 stainless
steel flat washers, #10 stainless steel lock washers and
#8-32 stainless steel hex nuts and tighten.

9. Install the supplied #10 -24 ESNA lock nuts onto the
studs across the top edge of the hood.

6. On vehicles painted colors other than black or dark blue:
Tape up the edge of the grille opening and paint every
thing inside the grille opening to conceal everything that
would be visible through the mesh grille (cross hatched
areas).
7. Use an extra fine polishing compound and buff off any
slight marks on the paint made by the stock grille. THIS
IS A MUST!

10. Install the small black plastic washers and the #8-32
ESNA half unts onto the three (3) lower mounting studs
and tighten until the bottom of the grille is snug against
the lower edge of the hood.

8. Align the mesh grille onto the hood, making sure that all
the studs mounted on the mesh grille pass through the
existing holes in the hood. NOTE: The studs may require
slight adjustments. Use a 1/4” drive deep socket, 1/4”
size, with an extension and slip it over the stud and gen-
tly push it in the direction the stud need to be to allow it
to pass through the factory holes in the hood.

11. Use masking tape to tape around the lower grille opening
on the bumper cover (where shown, the following streps
are not applicable on the 2006-08 RX400h).

12. Use a grease pencil to mark the center of the bumper
cover (A). Once marked, measure out onto each side
and place a grease pencil mark at 5” (B), then again 12-
1/2” out from the 5” mark (C). These are the lower grille
mounting hole locations.
13. Use a 1/8” drill bit to drill holes centered in the grease
pencil marks (as shown) through the bumper cover. Use
the drill bit to connect the holes to make mounting slots
for slight left to right grille adjustments.
14. Starting at the center, install the supplied #6 x 1/2” torx
pin head screws through the holes in the top of the
lower grille and allow them to self-tap into the bumper
cover. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN or you will strip out the
holes in the plastic bumper cover.

WARRANTY INFORMATION:
E&G Classics, Inc. warrants its chrome parts and products to be free from defects in mate-
rial, workmanship or finish for Twenty-Four (24) months from the date of shipment by E&G.
This warranty is limited to the repair or replacement, at E&G Classics option, of the defective
part or product. To obtain performance under this warranty you must:

1.) Present your E&G unit to an authorized distributor in your area with proof of purchase.
2.) If no distributor is available, contact E&G Classics (address below) for authorization to
return unit.
3.) Returns - All unauthorized returns will be refused. Merchandise approved by E&G for
return must have been purchased within the Twenty-Four (24) months. All returns require
an authorization number obtained from E&G and the actual return must be accompanied
by the written authorization form filled out completely. All merchandise most be inspect-
ed upon receipt and shortages reported within 48 hours. All merchandise must be in a
resalable condition. Merchandise must be packed carefully in the original packing. If orig-
inal packing is no longer usable, repack item(s) comparable to original manner. All returns
are subject to a 25% handling charge. Special order items are not returnable. Defective
merchandise must have an explanation of the problem. No credit will be issued unless
invoice number and date of purchase has been supplied. Manufacturer shall be sole judge
of defects in a product.
4.) UPS accounts - All returns must be prepaid. Do not send return shipments freight collect.
Once E&G has made its decision and it is a claim against our warranty policy, E&G will
credit incoming freight on damaged parts.
5.) No discontinued part or parts changed due to body style are returnable.

15. Finished installation. You are responsible for inspecting all packages containing E&G Classics' parts and product
immediately upon their receipt and must file a claim with the carrier for any damage disclo-
sure by such inspection and notify E&G classics in writing at the above address of any such
damage. This warranty does not extend to any of our products which have been subject to
misuse, neglect, accident or have been altered or repaired in any way. This warranty does not
cover any accidental or consequential damages for any breach of this warranty agreement.
E&G Classics shall have no responsibility for any loss of time, inconvenience, commercial loss
or consequential damage, nor shall E&G be liable for any injury or damage to persons or prop-
erty by reason of any defect in material, workmanship or finish of its parts or products. This
warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights which may vary
from state to state.
