Sir:
Greetings!
I am Angela A. Garganta, a graduating student of Mariano Marcos State University College of
Teacher Education taking up Bachelor of Secondary Education major in English. In connection
to this, I would like to apply a position as a High School English teacher in your school. As a
graduating student, my interest and aspirations to your calling is a great privilege wherein I can
utilize my abilities and skills in teaching the students on how to write, analyze, and evaluate
literary texts.
During my four years of stay here in the college, I involved myself in various activities and
seminar-workshops which are related to my major, English. I am a member and at the same time
an officer of the Communication Arts Guild (CAG), wherein it developed and honed my skills in
various genres and types of activities involve in the world of the English language. I participated
and facilitated the following events of the said club: Pantomime, Search for Mr. and Miss
Hanamichi, Quiz bee with a Twist, Chain Storytelling, Extemporaneous Speaking, Impromptu,
and Creative Storytelling. I am also a correspondent of the school paper of MMSU-CTE, The
CTE Bulletin, wherein it developed my skill in writing articles such as news.
The learning experiences I had with the troupe will be beneficial to your students to develop new
talents and discover future dancers who might as well perform on the international stage. I am
also an instrumentalist who can play the Rondalla instruments (Bandurria, Octavina, Guitar,
Double Bass). Rondalla music is one way of preserving the heritage of our country that is why
this needs to be learned by your students for a wider appreciation of music. I am also a singer
which is suitable for Choral singing with a vocal timbre of Bass. We were taught on how to
handle a choral group and experienced doing such. I assure you that I will help in promoting
cultural preservation and hone the students’ skills through dance and music with these
worthwhile activities. I know that your students are competitive in terms of academic and co-
curricular activities that made your school very prominent. I promise that these endeavors will be
possible as I will stay in your institution.
As a teacher, my main goal is to motivate students to do their best in order for them to reach their
full potentials and as well as their goals in life . I hope that this coming S.Y. 2017-2018, I will be
working hand-in-hand with the other faculty members of Holy Spirit Academy of Laoag,
molding new professionals in the future. Thank you for your time reading my application letter
