As the students enter the classroom there will be a video projected onto the

several online career resources that can help them identify career interest areas.
Students will also learn about resources specific to Science, Technology,
Engineering, and Math (STEM) career paths. The webinar includes video and
audio interviews with several young adults working in STEM related fields.

Exploration During this stage of the lessons the students will pick one career from the Career
Interest to focus on for the rest of the lesson. The students will then be
instructed to research this career using various educational websites.

Explanation Students then will have a Prezi link on Google Classroom, where they can follow
along with the next portion of the lesson. This will be lead by the teacher and will
also be projected onto the white board. This portion of the lesson deals with the
steps in choosing your career path. In this portion of the lesson we will continue
where we left off in the first lesson.

Formative Assessment: Students will use the app https://evernote.com/ to take

the students are engaged in the lesson.

Elaboration For the group project students will be in groups of 3-4, each person in the group
should have a similar career. Each group will create a presentation (PP, Prezi,
Google Slides, etc.) on your career choice. Attached are the requirements for
the assignment.
Career Choice Group Project
Instructions for Group Project: Students should be in groups of 3-4. Reminder
each group should have a similar career choice (for example, all health care
together, all education together, etc.) Each Group will create a presentation on
their career choice. You can use any presentation tool you want. Each group
will present their presentation to the class.
Requirements:
- Should be at least 8 topics (Cover page and reference page not
included).
- Each slide should include at least one picture, and at least one
embedded link.
- Topics should include
-Overview of career choice
-Education required
-Average salary
-Job benefits
-Current job openings
-Social media in that career field
-Any other topics relating to the career choice
- Creativity is a plus- THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX.
- Each student in the group must submit quality work for their assigned
part; there will be a peer review after the presentation is complete
- Should include at least five credible sources (Wikipedia is not
considered a credible source)
