5. Use a flat blade screwdriver and insert it between the
bumper cover and the top of the factory clips securing
the lower edge of the grille and push down on the
screwdriver to release the mounting clips. Start from
one side and work your way across to the opposite side
then remove the grille. Remove the push on retainer
secruing the Lincoln emblem to the factory grille and
unclip the emblem (to be reused on the Mesh grille).

6. For vehicles painted colors other than black or dark blue:
Tape 1/8” in from the edge of the factory grille opening
and scuff the paint on the grille opening. Tape 1/2” in
from the side edge of the headlights, scuff the sides of
the headlights and apply flat or semi gloss black paint.
Paint everything inside the grille opening black that
would be visible through the mesh grille.

10. With the factory upper grille removed, you have access
to install the lower grille mounting hardware without
having to raise the vehicle and remove the lower plastic
cover. Align the lower grille into place and install the
supplied black plastic washers and ESNA half nuts onto
each stud and tighten.

7. Thoroughly clean the lower grille opening. Apply
making tape to the painted bumper cover sur
rounding the lower factory black grille insert.
8. Apply the 2” black out tape to the chrome mould-
ing across the center of the lower grille opening
so it will not be visible through the installed lower
mesh grille. Make sure that you cover the entire
top and front areas of the factory chrome mould-
ing, carefully trimming the edges to keep the tape
from overlapping onto the factory black insert.

mounting studs are resting on top of the bumper cover. Do
not try and push the studs through the slots in the bumper
cover or the grille will be too low in the opening.
12. Make sure that the mesh grille is centered between the
headlights and the mesh section fits down behind the edge
of the bumper cover. Install the mounting brackets and #8-
32 ESNA half nuts and tighten. Apply black paint to the
studs and nuts to conceal them once the grille is secure.

13. Once the lower edge of the grille is secured, remove
the wire tie holding the mesh section to the frame
under the emblem mount.

16. Peel back a small section from each piece of double
faced tape from the emblem backing plate and align the
plate over the grille frame emblem base, making sure
the center cross bar is closer to the bottom than the
top. If the cross bar is closer to the top, rotate the back-
ing plate 180 degrees. Once properly aligned, peel off
the tape backing and press the emblem backing plate
firmly onto the grille to set the tape.

19. It will be necessary to cut off the lower front tag
bracket strap that clips into the fornt bumper
cover as there is no longer access for the bracket.
20. Reinstall the front tag bracket (if equipped) using
the supplied #19422 black plastic push fasteners.
WARRANTY INFORMATION:
E&G Classics, Inc. warrants its chrome parts and products to be free from defects
in material, workmanship or finish for Thirty-Six (36) months from the date of shipment
by E&G. This warranty is limited to the repair or replacement, at E&G Classics option, of
the defective part or product.
To obtain performance under this warranty you must:
1.) Present your E&G unit to an authorized distributor in your area with proof
of purchase.
2.) If no distributor is available, contact E&G Classics (address below) for author-
ization to return unit.
3.) Returns - All unauthorized returns will be refused. Merchandise approved by E&G
for return must have been purchased within the Thirty-Six (36) months. All returns
require an authorization number obtained from E&G and the actual return must
be accompanied by the written authorization form filled out completely. All mer-
chandise must be inspected upon receipt and shortages reported within 48
hours. All merchandise must be in a resalable condition. Merchandise must be
packed carefully in the original packing. If original packing is no longer usable,
repack item(s) comparable to original manner. All returns are subject to a 25%
handling charge. Special order items are not returnable. Defective merchandise
must have an explanation of the problem. No credit will be issued unless invoice
number and date of purchase has been supplied. Manufacturer shall be sole
judge of defects in a product.
4.) UPS accounts - All returns must be prepaid. Do not send return shipments
freight collect. Once E&G has made its decision and it is a claim against our
warranty policy, E&G will credit incoming freight on damaged parts.
5.) No discontinued part or parts changed due to body style are returnable.

You are responsible for inspecting all packages containing E&G Classics' parts and
product immediately upon their receipt and must file a claim with the carrier for any
damage disclosure by such inspection and notify E&G classics in writing at the above
address of any such damage. This warranty does not extend to any of our products
which have been subject to misuse, neglect, accident or have been altered or repaired
in any way. This warranty does not cover any accidental or consequential damages for
any breach of this warranty agreement. E&G Classics shall have no responsibility for any
loss of time, inconvenience, commercial loss or consequential damage, nor shall E&G be
liable for any injury or damage to persons or property by reason of any defect in mate-
rial, workmanship or finish of its parts or products. This warranty gives you specific legal
rights and you may also have other rights which may vary from state to state.
