ASSIGNMENT 1: FLOW CHART AND PSEUDOCODE

Overview

Students are required to do research on any processes which involves designing of flow charts
and pseudocode. It doesn’t have to be a computer processes, it can be anything. (Usage of
computer processes is still applicable in the assignment)

As an example: a process of assembling a car, process of cooking fried chicken – from


preparation to serving, process of doing laundry, and others. Students must be creative on
finding their own processes. (Tips: You may look back into your daily routine for examples).

Instruction

Student is required to provide FOUR (4) different examples in fulfilling the assignment
requirements.

*Assignment do not require student to create complex processes. Include only basic details for
each example.

Requirements

 Students have to design the process of each example provided which will involve all the
basic logic structures - sequence, selection, and looping) in a single program.
 Draw the flow chart of the process, followed by the pseudocode of the process.

 To analyze a basic process and convert it into flowchart and pseudocode
 Able to draw the flowchart and write pseudocode based on the process chosen.

Submission information

 This is an individual assignment and it contributes 20% to your total marks.


 Students are required to submit a hardcopy to the examiner latest on week 6.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

 Plagiarism are strictly prohibited, Actions will be taken towards candidates, should they
violate the regulation. Students will be liable to hold the responsibility once held guilty.
ZERO (0) marks will be awarded for work which are plagiarized or not properly
referenced.
 The assignment is to be submitted with a signed cover sheet available to confirm the
time and submission date.
