end to end solutions for business. Help them in implanting new tools and software
which will help their business to grow. Herikson Group is one of the clients for Criterion
IT solutions.

The purpose of below project is to implement and design a website of the Herikson
Hotel to create web presence of them by Criterion IT solutions. This project was covered
in span of 2.5 months. Criterion IT solutions team has worked closely with client
Herikson Hotel and implemented the project. This Project is very important in learning
aspect as it covers complete project life cycle on how exactly consulting software firms.

The project covers from project acquisition, implementation and delivery cycle. The
methodology applied is agile method which is most effective and successful business

WordPress BACKGROUND PROBLEM Herikson Hotel is now currently entering in the
hotel business in the most conventional way. Their first priority was the local customers
but as the business expands the need for spreading its business in the market is
necessary.

In last few years it has grown and still growing, with increasing possibilities. The print
media and television advertisement are not sufficient to spread value proposition
among the customers widely. As it is the era of digital communication that’s why
Herikson Hotel has targeted web to attract more customers. In order to create web
presence.

Herikson Hotel marketing department hired Criterion IT solutions to provide solution for
their needs. Criterion IT solutions has come with providing an exclusive web design.
Criterion IT solutions will help Herikson Hotel to implement and design the website of
their hotel.

Criterion IT solutions will implement software customization as per client’s requirement,


design and develop the site. PROJECT GOALS & VALUE TO STAKEHOLDER This project
will include following activities: Engage a web development/design consultant to assist
in analyzing the current state of Herikson Hotel’s web presence, identify and implement
critical improvements, and develop a modern, compelling interface design (look and
feel) and a set of design templates. Establish a strategy that articulates how the web will
be used as a communications tool in alignment with our client’s goals and objectives.

Create a fluid and rewarding website information architecture that reflects the needs of
our visitors and encourages positive user interactions. Establish policy and standards for
website management, design, content, presentation and development for creating
consistent and professional web content. The above process change will be highly
beneficial for client as it will make room, other events and service bookings very easy,
smoother and creating a identical brand from others based on the exceptional service.
STAKEHOLDERS ANALYSIS The following analysis stake holders had been done by
Criterion IT solutions.
/ SCOPE ANALYSIS The scope for this project was defined through a comprehensive
requirements collection process. First, a thorough analysis was performed on the
company’s current process requirements based on employee and user feedback. From
this information, Criterion IT solutions has developed the project team developed the
project requirements documentation.

The project description and deliverables were developed based on the requirements
collection process and input from subject matter experts present at Criterion IT solutions
in domains like software consulting, Software developing and testing, business analyst.
This project includes identifying the software application, design and programming, and
testing of site as per collected requirements from Herikson Hotel MKT Dept.

The project deliverables include new exciting digital site for delivering services with the
flexibility to modify and expand its application as necessary in the future. This project
will be accepted once the site has been fully implanted and tested by the department
and have been shown to be compatible with the Herikson Hotel current process. The
following areas of the hotels will be designed and built: About the Herikson Hotel. All
types of holiday deals and packages. Rooms and services.

Personal Service. Meeting, weeding and other social activities. WORK BREAK DOWN

METHODOLOGY Resource Management We can see many software solution for
making web in the market and each of them has different types of advantages and
disadvantages. In this project, we have to select comfortable software package for our
client.

The software will fulfill our client’s needs as per their requirements. We will ask about
the client’s opinion how they want the forms to be generated and what information’s
will be there in the forms. Some automated form generating software packages that are
available online are: We have selected 3 software solutions by our consultancy.

The estimated yearly cost for Wix package is totally free or varies if the company wants
to use its premium feature like personal domain.

Per month fee 10,000 and yearly cost 120,000 tk. For Adobe weaver the yearly cost will
be 144,000 tk. Again, for word press the yearly cost will be zero or variable cost 108,000
tk. After going through the features of the software and the pricing our client will let us
know their chosen software solution to work with and they have chosen Wix to start
work with.

SCHEDULE MANAGEMENT Time management involves identifying the specific


tasks/activities that project team members and stakeholders must perform to produce
product deliverable. It is needed to identify and document the activity sequencing. It
includes the estimation of work periods that are needed to complete individual
activities. It involves controlling and managing changes to project schedule.

The established baseline is of two weeks of the project and then monitor progress
against baseline on weekly basis. Project Schedule is updated with latest information
and not more than two business days. _ Risk management Risk is the vital factor that
need to be taken care of during the project plan, implementation, completion phase.

There are lot of risk involved during each stage and to avoid the risk is the most
important factor involved in it. Risk like time involved for completion of the project, Cost
involved, Problem caused in the team, timing involved for testing and some technical
issues. Risk management is very important to complete any project on time.

Each and every member in the team need to cooperate and work together in a team so

The running website - / CONCLUSION The website of Herikson Hotel project has given
us complete knowledge of how exactly the software business and website creation runs
in an industry. We got chance to learn each phase of project. From the project
acquisition, project contract discussion till the final delivery of this project showed us
what all things involved in one complete project life cycle. We learned the agile
methodology which is very popular in industry.

We have faced certain issues like time management, changing requirements from clients
etc but sill we could work and tackle the situation to give on time delivery of the project.
In this project we learn two main aspects one is the on-time delivery and other is the
quality of the work. Overall this project gave us real time experience of software and
web industry.
