applied to diesel since no other suitable method for existing gum in diesel exists. Therefore, the
guarantee figure and analytical method of existing gum in diesel are subject to further investigation
with advice by Licensor and Employer during the detailed engineering.

Note 1: SRU/ Tail Gas treatment Units and the Polypropylene (PP) unit are not normally supplied with
MP hydrogen from HCDS unit. However, to be conservative in the Hydrogen demand, this is
accounted in the normal operating case;
Note 2: During CCR offline, the RHDS throughput is reduced to 50% (i.e. the unit operates only
one of two trains);
Note 3: During HMU offline, the RHDS throughput is shutdown;
Note 4: For Polypropylene and SRU/TGTU back-up is available during HMU offline from CCR
unit directly

Notes:
(a) There will be an intermittent flow of 5250 kg/h once/week for 8 hours from the KHDS.
This flow will be routed to the Feed Degassing Drum and will not be included in the unit
capacity but will be absorbed in the Unit Design Margin..
(b) There will be an intermittent flow of 5000 kg/h from SRU / TGTU KO drums. This flow
will be routed to the Feed Degassing Drum and will not be included in the unit capacity
but will be absorbed in the Unit Design Margin.
(c) Bleed flow from the ARU is also routed to the Feed Degassing Drum. The bleed flow will
be around 1000kg/hr. Thus it will not affect the Unit Capacity.
(d) An intermittent flow of 100 Kg/h sour water from the InAlk unit will be processed in the
Unit. This flow will be routed to the Degassing Drum.
(e) In case of No.2 SWS shutdown, sour water from AG Flare KO Drum Pumps (Ref.
Equipment Tag. 180-P-003A/B) is sent to the No.1 Sour Water Stripper.
(f) Flow rate of this stream (normally no flow) is 9,560 kg/hr, which will not be included in
the unit capacity but will be absorbed in the Unit Design Margin. This flow will be routed
to the Degassing Drum.
3. For design purposes a 10% throughput margin is added to the normal flow rate of all sour
water feed streams (excluding Notes 1,2, 3, 4 & 5 above) in order to define the Unit Design

Equipment that process viscous liquids need to be flushed with lower viscous material like flushing oil
before being handed over to maintenance.
Two flushing oil pumps 020-P-032 A/B are provided to meet the RHDS start-up demand and any peak
flushing oil requirement during normal operation.
The flushing oil pumps take suction from the AGO/LCO tanks (152-TK-003/004/05). Pump minimum
flow control is provided to enable operation during low flow operation.
The flushing oil system will supply on demand Flushing Oil (typically AGO) to the Refinery Process

2. Design pressure of Xylene column is provisionally increased to 15000 kPag. Relief valve set
pressure increased from 9500 kPag to 15000 kPag. Under general power failure, furnace fuel gas and
fuel oil will be cut by ESD function and another HIPS activation to assure furnace fuel cut and
residual heat in furnace will not increase column pressure above the relief valve set pressure.
