• The problem is a gap between expectation and fact.


• Should be based on the reason.

• Stated in the form of question.

Hypothesis is a tentative answer from the research problem.

I.4. Purpose of the study

To answer the research problem / question

I.5. Significance of the study

• What is the contribution of the finding?

• Who will get the benefit of the finding?

- Teacher

- Students

I.6. Scope and Limitation

• Scope is a topic of the research.

• Limitation includes research method, population, instrument, and object of the reason.

I.7. Definition of the key term

The definition is not based on the dictionary but the concept or operational definition

• It’s related to the statement problem and the key term.

• Theoretical information (theoretical book)

• Empirical information (research finding, thesis, journal, etc)

• Quotation

- Direct quotation (no change, no addition, no deletion)

- Indirect quotation (the conclusion)

Research Method

• Research method is the scientific method to answer the research problem.

- Population and Sample

- Data collection

- Data analysis

3.1. Research design

• What design is used?

- Descriptive

- Experimental

• What is meant by the design?

- present the theoretical definition of the research design used.

• Why is the design used?

• What are the variable?

- Independent variable

- dependent variable

3.2. Population and Sample

- What is meant by population / sample?

- Who / What is the population / sample?

- Where and How many the population / sample?

- Why do you choose the population / sample?

3.3. Data Collection

• What are the data?

The data is the variable (the key term in the research problem)

• How are the data collected?

• What are the instrument to collect the data?
