DISASTER MANAGEMENT ACT, 2002 (ACT NO.57 OF 2002)

AMENDMENT OF DIRECTIONS ISSUED IN TERMS OF REGULATION 4(7), 20 (1)

and (2) OF THE REGULATIONS MADE UNDER SECTION 27(2) OF THE
DISASTER MANAGEMENT ACT, 2002 (ACT NO. 57 OF 2002): MEASURES TO
PREVENT AND COMBAT THE SPREAD OF COVID -19 IN THE PUBLIC
TRANSPORT SERVICES

I, Fikile Mbalula, MP, the Minister of Transport, hereby in terms of regulation 4(7) of
the Regulations issued in terms of the Disaster Management Act, 2002 (Act No. 57 of
2002) amends Government Notice No.493 published in Government Gazette No.
43272 of 4 May 2020 by substitution of Direction 8(1) with the following.

"(8)(1) Public Transport is permitted to operate from 05h00 to 19h00 and the
driver must ensure that the drop off is completed by 19:00 ".

This Notice shall come into effect on the date of publication in the Government
Gazette.
