Guidelines for Final Course Assignment

1. Use appropriate investigation and analytical techniques to elicit information

requirements and model those requirements in terms of the processes and data
involved.

2. Appreciate the need for a professional approach to systems development and the
importance of agreeing requirements with the user community.

Assessment 2 consists of two parts as listed in the Module Handbook.

Part A: Current System

1. Draw a Physical Level 1 DFD of the existing system in Classic Car Hire Company (CCH). (20
Marks)

To complete question no. 1 you need to do following things:

 Draw Physical Level DFD ---- what is Physical level DFD, first understand this and draw
the diagram. Draw diagram in QSEE and later export it in Doc file too. You must submit
QSEE file and Document. See following example for clear understanding and explain the
DFD with additional features that you think it is possible to add in the dfd.

 See the difference between Physical and logical DFD, so that it is easier for you to draw
your dfds.
## Find out differences so that you are able to draw it.
 After completing drawings so that you can explain each and every actions that we
include in the DFD.
2. Draw a UML Use Case Diagram comprising of all first level base use-cases for all of the actors
identified in a Physical Level 1 DFD above Classic Car Hire Company (CCH). (20 Marks)

Now follow UML notation to draw USE Case Diagram, and try to include additional idea and
activities in Use Case Interaction.

Part B: Required System

1. Draw a Logical Level 1 DFD of the proposed new system in Classic Car Hire Company
(CCH) (including any new requirements following the interview in week 8). (20 Marks)

Please see above diagram of Logical DFD, to understand what exactly is this. Draw DFD level 1 and Level
0 whenever it is drawn.

Then there is a separate paragraph that specifies the requirements for ‘Online Shopping’

2. Draw a UML Use Case Diagram to support the provided ‘Online Shopping’ scenario. (20 Marks)

3. Draw a UML Class diagram known as ‘Online Shopping’ to show and support this process from the
given scenario. (20 Marks)

Regarding Additional Requirements:

For Part B: Required System question 1., Please add some new features as automated one. For
example, once a client request a car for hiring through their business portal, it must show the availability
of car, booking options, reservation details, confirmation, payment mechanism, cancellation options,
essentials notifications, alert options, billing and other options that you think more relevant in this
context.

Regarding Assignment Submission:

The students must make two submissions of the assignment:

Assignment (.qsee file): Save all QSEE answers to all assignment questions. The files related to these
questions carry a file extension of this nature “UseCase.qsee”, zip the files and upload them in VLE.

Turnitin (.doc file): Copy figures from QSEE (DON’T USE PRINT SCREEN), paste them all in a single
MsWord (.doc file), after labeling each question and giving a brief sentence or two on what that diagram
is capturing and upload that file in Turnitin as well.

Students should not copy one another as this will be picked up by Turnitin.

No two individuals working on a scenario can come out with identical words!!
