The Fall of Man and God’s

Plan of Redemption

Foreword

Acknowledgements

Introduction

In this assignment, I plan to bring something, which has been in my

spirit for a long time, on to paper, which is the spiritual state of

mankind. At first I was meditating on mankind for a very long time,

as in the wickedness of man, the different cultures and many other

subjects. But the issue intrigued me very deeply and it still does.

Whilst looking at human beings in my city as well as on the news, I

was realising the depths of mankind’s wickedness. My opportunity

to put this on paper came on my second dissertation. With this

opportunity, I was able not only able to talk further about the

wickedness of man, but also talk about the remedy for man’s

wickedness, which is the Blood of Christ. I know that it’s not just the
Blood of Christ that is part of our redemption, it’s also the Father

and the Spirit Who play such great roles in the redemption of man,

but I wanted to pinpoint on a particular part of mankind’s

redemption which makes the difference from a human being wicked

to being in right standing with God and the Blood of Christ is my

main focal point for this assignment. So here are my thoughts and

what’s been on my heart, plus my understanding on the different

subjects I will cover on this dissertation. During this assignment, I

plan to create debates about certain subjects and go deeper on

these subjects whilst being careful not to offend anybody, but to

edify the body of Christ.

CHAPTER ONE – THE ORIGIN OF SIN

THE ORIGINAL SINNER – LUCIFER

To start on such a wide topic, we must take a look back on how sin

came into existence. In the Bible we read how God created man

(Adam and Eve), but they were sinless, there was no fault in either

of them, but yet they fell. We know why they fell, one of the

reasons because they were deceived, but here, I will explain about

that same deceiver who is the beginning to the sin problem, his

name, is Lucifer.
HIS REBELLION and the consequences

Because of his rebellion against God, he had to have been thrown

out of Heaven. He bore the marks of iniquity and we know that our

God hates sin and abhors it and cannot allow sin to dwell where He

is, therefore Lucifer had to be cast from His presence as well as

Heaven itself. But that was just the beginning.

CREATION

Genesis chapters 1-2 detail the creation of the earth. It has been

said that the earth was populated before, this is why God said to

Adam and Eve to replenish the earth and therefore something had

to have been there before Adam and Eve were there. From chapter

1 it details God creating everything from the firmaments to the

creatures. We can say that God had created all of this for man, but

ultimately for his own pleasure, as the Scriptures says:

MAN IN CREATION

Genesis 1:26-27 and Genesis 2

THE SIGNIFICANCE OF THE CREATION OF MAN

This was all to the glory of the Father who created all things for His

pleasure. Whilst He has revealed some things to us, some things

remain a mystery, but we can rest in the understanding that God

loves us greatly but acknowledging that God gave us everything so

that we can be in right standing with Him.

Eve

Out of man, Eve was made. A lot of people have disputed over her

role in the fall (which I will go further into later), but nonetheless, we

are in the position we are, but there is a way out for us all through

Christ.

God’s relationship with man before the fall

God’s relationship with man before the fall was a divine and holy

relationship. When you look at man in these modern times,

sometimes it hurts to see man so a far off from God when man’s

relationship with God before the fall was perfect.

Satan the tempter and the deceiver

Satan came and brought about the destruction of mankind by

deceiving them through his lies. The Bible states that Satan is the

father of lies, which means he is the creator and maker of falsehood

and no one is as crafty as he is at telling lies. When you look at

mankind, you see the effects of his lies. Lies such as the Big Bang

Theory, evolution

The fall of man

Genesis 3

Where are you Adam?

Once Adam and Eve fell, God’s relationship with man was incredibly

affected. The fall never came through Eve, but it came through

Adam once he ate from the fruit of the tree.

The curse fully explained – women in pain whilst having birth,

Men having to work, etc.

After man had fallen, God cursed Adam and Eve, as well as the

serpent. But eventually the curse followed through to the following

generations.

CHAPTER TWO – THE destructive power OF

SIN

The first sacrifices (when God made clothes from animal skins to

cover Adam And eve)

Not many people may know about this, but in Genesis 3:16, after

God had put the curse upon Adam, Eve and the serpent, to cover

their nakedness, God had to use animal skins to cover them. By

doing this, God had to do something, which was not recorded in the
Bible before the fall, which was to offer an animal in place for the

guilty sinner.

Cain And abel – the first murder

After their exile from the Garden of Eden after the fall, Adam and

eve had two sons by the names of Cain and Abel. At this point they

were working, which was part of the curse where men had to work.

Cain and Abel then gave their offerings to God; Cain offered his

offering from the ground whereas Abel’s offering was different. God

was pleased with Abel’s offering, but he did not accept Cain’s

offering. Cain was angry and eventually it ended in the murder of

Abel.

God’s relationship with man after the fall (Genesis 4-6)

Shortly after the murder of Abel and the following generation’s, the

earth had become an incredibly sinful world, corrupt and wicked.

God was grieved in His heart after seeing what mankind were doing

to themselves as well to each other. Genesis 6 records these events

and later in the New Testament it is foretold by Jesus that as in the

days of Noah, so it shall be at the end of days when Jesus comes

back to reclaim His earth and take His church, that He will come to

judge the nations.

Noah’s days (Before the flood and God calling Noah)

During this time, the sons of God had come to earth and mixed with

the population of human beings. Around this time, Shortly after God

had seen all of this, He had called Noah to build an ark and to take

two kinds of every species, male and female and take them into the

ark. Mankind had grieved the LORD God so much that He was going

to destroy them. The events of how Noah forewarned humankind

about the coming doom that God was coming to destroy the earth

had started when God had called Noah (Genesis 6). God had told

Noah what He was going to do but they refused to listen. When I

think about it, the time when Noah warned people and now when

Christians preach the gospel are very similar. Noah warned the

people; Christians preach the gospel of Jesus Christ. The recipients

in Noah’s days refused to listen and in our time, people still refuse

to acknowledge God. This is a simple case of how man believes

they are all right without God when in truth they are not. They are

spiritual and physically separated

Noah and The flood

Shortly after this, God would flood the world and destroy mankind.
