Question 1: Describe the challenges a school principal must face based on:

a) School Transformation 2025

The School Transformation Program 2025, TS25 is part of the Ministry of Education's
efforts towards improving quality student and school enrolment.

Apply best practices in management and leadership development as well as pedagogy


in learning and teaching in line with the ambitions contained in the Malaysian
Education Development Plan (PPPM 2013-2025).

One of the challenges of a great teacher in this regard is

i. Elected school principals attend courses held at a nearby training center.

ii. Principals need to communicate and guide teachers and school staff on the TS25
information to ensure their implementation runs smoothly.

iii. Principals should monitor the development and understanding of teachers in


implementing the TS25 elements

iv. Principals is having a hard time figuring out strategies to transform the existing school
environment into the environment required in the TS25. as an example of 21st
century teaching and learning that requires technological interaction.

v. Principals need to inculcate research practices in all teachers. This is not an easy task
as all teachers have many tasks and responsibilities to perform. Therefore, these
additions are seen to take a long time to fully apply.

State the challenges that the principal in a school will face based on

b. Industrial revolution:

1. Principles are challenged to be very selective in choosing the roles they bring into
school. They are also expected to arrange the school programs or plans thoughtfully
involving the instructions and contents— knowledge, skills, and attitudes, which can
equip students with characters and literacies to deal with the industrious world of
technology.
2. Require principles to acquire knowledge which utilize the innovations provided by the
technology itself, which meet the need of Industrial Revolution 4.0, i.e. implementing
hybrid/blende learning and online learning in classroom. Accordingly, principles
should provide courses for teachers in school as they too are challenged to occupy
themselves with ICT-literacy.
3. Principles must know and have accesses to technology-oriented professional
development, and be able to give guidance and share knowledge through current
ICT and social media communicatively and intellectually.
4. The rapid growth of technology and science also push the principles to be tenacious
in improving their professionalism in order to encounter the globally connected
education in the era of Industry 4.0.

Innovation is changes. According to Ronger E. Miller (1971) innovation is an idea, practice or


object that someone considers new. While Spencer (1994) described innovation as
something new and better than the old one. Innovation means an idea, practice or object
that someone considers new (Ronger E. Miller, 1971).

Business opportunity refers to a situation or key factor arising from the demand for human
needs and desires of a product or service that directs the entrepreneur's mindset to generate
income.

Innovation in education can take many forms

- Introduction of new technologies

- Changes in delivery system

- Changes in procedures that can increase productivity.

Therefore, business opportunities are certainly present in the innovation-based education


system because the innovations produced can enhance student learning performance in
schools as well as provide variety and variety in teacher teaching methods.
