Abstract

This field work is about exploring about things that we usually encounter but we don’t look at too much.
This time we’re exploring about light about some computations that is needed to maximize the usage of
a light.

The purpose of this study is to find out the illumination per classrooms and hallways by using android
phones and an app called lux meter. We can you it to measure the lux of the light. Also the purpose of
this is to have an experience working in the field like what we will be doing in the near future.

So we find out that the illuminance level In each rooms are different but not too much difference
between those values. The reason behind this is because some fluorescent is week and old that’s why
some of it produces weak light

We conclude that there is no stable and accurate light in artificial light because there are lots of factor
that can affect the lux of the light that we don’t usually notice.

Intro

For this field work we are about to explore more about lights and when it should be used based on your
needs. We will be measuring the lux of the light through android phone and an app called lux meter and
gather those data to come up in an observation on how the lights are distributed depending on the light
type that they used. This research is important specially for engineering students because its an early
knowledge for us to explore and have an experience like this that we might use in the near future.

Observation

After gathering all the data that we needed, we can see that all the light are not producing the same
light even though they’re using the same fluorescent for the whole building. This is because some other
fluorescent looks old and some looks new, or maybe because of some factors that we don’t know yet.

Conclusion

In this fieldwork we can conclude that artificial lighting is not that stable all the time, because on the
gathered data of lux per room we’ve been observed that the light are not the same even if they’re using
the same type of fluorescent per room.
