Introduction
Hi my name is Jon Morgan and I'm going to be your host during the "Wot
Show." This is going to be a little like a talk show, without the talking. Instead of
talking, I am going to write what I want to say, or share news and resources via
links. The Wot Show is also interactive--if you have anything you want to share,
you can always stop by one of the blogs listed along the right and post your
thoughts, or send me an email at 32bpwr3@gmail.com. I can only promise that
I'll respond to your message as quickly as possible.

You can also send me a voicemail by calling (989) 546-7689.

If you'd like to join me and you're viewing these posts via Facebook or Twitter,
you can read my "textcast" at http://thewotshow.posterous.com/.

Tonight's 'Cast will be relatively brief, probably 30 minutes.

Happy Holidays
Wanted to take some time to wish everybody Happy Holidays. I know, I know, it's
December 29th so I'm cutting things pretty close. But, better late than never!
With the New Year coming, there has been a lot of talk recently on Twitter about
setting your New Year's resolutions. What are some things that you are planning
on changing about your life in 2011?Let me know.

Zombie Apocalypse
My profile is currently in the midst of a fun activity in which my friends respond
to a scenario involving the Zombie Apocalypse. I picked this up off of a co-
worker (Thanks Teresa!) and wanted to share the original post and then some
of the responses I've gotten from people. I'll try to keep everybody updated.

You and I wake up to the Zombie Apocalypse together. Using only 4 words, what do you say
to me? Note: If you comment, you must copy and paste this in your status so I can comment
on yours.

Here are some responses:

● Lisa McGonegal-Smith Dibs on the flamethrower!
● Teresa Miller I'll get a gun!
● Ed Czurak You can go first!
Thank you everybody who has responded so far.

What were your favorite moments from 2010?

How could the last week of 2010 go by without a look back at some favorite
moments from 2010?Share yours here.

The moments that stand out for me include the launch of EduGuide's
brand-new website in August. If you want, you can check it out at http://
www.eduguide.org. This was the result of many, many months of development
by our programmers and testing by our staff. It was also one of the biggest
website launches I've been involved in. Before then, I had helped with the
launch of new sections, but never a website that had been built from scratch.

On the home front, our children continued to grow and progress in their own
pursuits. Kayla advanced in skating, and this fall Josh joined the Boy Scouts.
They've also both grown up so much and come such a long ways since 2009.

This summer, my daughter braved her first over-night stay at Grandma

Morgan's house, and both kids stayed with their grandparents for a week while
I commuted to Ann Arbor for a User Experience conference. We tried an over
night stay on another night, but unfortunately that was cut short when Josh ran
a fever.

Wrap-Up
Well, that's just about all of the time that I have to write tonight. I'm planning on
doing future shows that are longer. This was just a test run to see how well I
can manage. Overall, I'd say that I'm going to have to do a lot more planning
before I start the next one!

Still, I have lots of plans for the kinds of resources and information which could
be included during a live textcast. These include coverage of different topics
such as Technology and Education, and interviews with interesting people from
across the Internet.

If you'd like to assist with future textcasts, please email me at

32bpwr3@gmail.com.
Thanks!

Jon
