PERSONAL INVESTIGATION
TASK 1
THEME MOOD BOARD

Week 4 commencing
Monday 11th May
Deadline: Monday 18th May

YOU NEED TO:

Revisit your Pinterest board and artists you have researched within
your journals to print off favourite/most inspiring images to do with
your ideas and personal investigation theme
You will need to include printed visuals along with the following:
• Keywords (describing the key features)
• Artist/Designer/Photographer names
You may also consider:
• Designing a creative title for the page
• Your mood board may be one big one (minimum 1x A3 piece of
paper) or you may decide to do separate mini mood boards if you
have different strands to explore from your visual mind map
• The page/s must creatively to reflect your theme idea (see
examples on next slide)

PLEASE ALSO NOTE
If you are lacking materials and equipment you can do the following things:
•Work on the computer where you can

•Save work digitally to be printed out at school at a later date

•If you are working digitally try to plan out the layout of pages in your tracker
book so its quick to assemble when the time comes

•If you have been given a target of present work/print- we do not expect
you to do this at home if you do not have the facilities.

•There will be time allowed for you to catch up with missed elements or
elements that need refining because you may need assistance how to do
something

Choose one artist from your
mood board.
Select a piece of their work
to create a copy (A5 or
bigger) Student copy
Use any materials you think
are most appropriate for
the copy or that you have
access to at home
You will research 3x artists
for your personal
investigation in total – so
choose wisely which you
pick to work from when
looking at all you have
researched
